Good question @dave …I think there still a lot TBD in this area of acquisition and the growth of the sport. On one end, acquisitions show that the sport is growing and businesses are stabilizing, yet at the same time….too much of this within the sport may lead to a lot of power centered in one place. It’s a fine balance between: allowing opportunities for growth for businesses of all market caps (start-up, small, medium, etc.), having VC acquisitions happen to support long-term growth, and the potential of monopolzation within the space due to the sheer central power of one business’s capital.
