Injuries On & Off The Course
Ouch! Here is the impact that Dave, Working the “Catch-Cam” for the DGPT at the Open at Austin, had after having Eagle’s grenade hit him directly on the top of his head. Sounds like Dave will be ok, but that had to hurt!

Oooh that’s wicked. When I was a teen, I was hit in the neck with a disc right under my chin. It actually didn’t cut through my skin, but I thought I was going to die because I couldn’t breathe for a while…I thought it had collapsed my windpipe. Freak accidents are no fun.

This is a great reminder of the seriousness of flying discs, especially at local parks where people may not be aware of this. I’m glad this guy is doing well and no long term serious injuries.
