Like Callum mentioned, most people have their groups already figured out, but I do like finding new folks to play with and having CODGC as the common ground makes it nicer to have.

Ads Free depends on the type of ad and how it applies to the app (at least in my mind). Without sponsors or ads it’s hard to keep an app or site going, so I get it. I will add (pun intended) that I usually opt to buy Ad Free versions of apps or services.
People promoting their shop or sponsors seems like part of the business of disc golf so I can’t fault them for doing it.

I know that would have helped me. The app is pretty intuitive but I’m definitely still trying to figure out what to do where.

ESP for me. I’ve got a couple ESP FLX but they just don’t give me the same confidence in the hand because of the flex.

I think I have a mental block with Lucid (feeling like it’s not as good) so I tend to stick with Fuzion/Gold/Tournament. I also don’t feel like I play enough to cycle discs so that also makes me feel like Lucid isn’t as good longer term. All this coming from a person with only a few years of real playing lol

Yep, exactly what I was thinking. Lower the barrier of entry of engagement, if you will, kinda like having Tom as a friend back in the MySpace days (yes, I’m totally dating myself 🤦♂️😂)

Is there such a thing as default groups or discussions everyone has access to as soon as they sign up? It could help people figure out how to navigate as well as give them a place to ask questions without having to try and make connections before sending a message.

Ironically I went to the More tab before figuring out the Activity/News Feed 😂
The only thing I can suggest is maybe having some guides on how to interact. For example, if you want to just see everything happening use the Activity/News Feed. If you want to use it more like an old school online forum, the Forum section is your jam. If you want an experience more like Reddit go for the Discussion section.
Overall it is well thought out and I’m excited to see where it goes

Apollo Disc Golf also has some interesting videos about stability within the same molds; at least I found it interesting. I also love a lot of the Trash Panda videos since Jesse talks through the process of making a new mold and how flights are affected by plastic.
I guess I really am just a nerd at heart 😂
